Bristol Plays Music is the coming together of Bristol Arts and Music Service and Colston Hall Education along with a range of partners to create a Music Education Hub. This hub will offer joined-up planning and opportunities. It will bring together western music, world music and music technology. It’ll inspire children and young people to be musical and make music more accessible. And it will build a new exciting offer for schools.
It’ll be the place to find out what’s happening, where to go and how to get involved.
Bristol Plays Music has a vision that Bristol will the capital of young music making by 2020. Together with our partners and you we can make that happen.
Bristol Plays Music was successfully launched on 11th March at the Colston Hall with peformances from over 200 children and young people from BCCS Gospel Choir, Fishponds Academy African drummers, Bristol Plays Music Big Band, Cotham School’s performance of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, Horfield Primary School choir, Sarah Wilson-Parris and Holiday Rumours.
