Bristol SU comes alive to the sound of Spring, dinosaurs and Renaissance


The sound of classical music floating through the University of Bristol Student’s Union on 20th June when 160 local primary school students take part in an orchestra workshop.

The Primary Orchestra day is a collaboration between Bristol University and BPM, led by Phil Dixon, a teacher of music and music technology and composer-in-residence from St Mary Redcliffe and Temple School and University of Bristol alumnus (MA 2002), playing music especially arranged for young players by Claire Alsop.

This year the children will be playing Spring (Vivaldi), Capriol Suite – Basse Danse (Warlock) and Jurassic Park (John Williams)
