A few days ago we received the incredibly sad news that one of our music centre participants, Tatiana Stankovic Davis, had sadly lost her battle with cancer.
Tatiana was a talented violin player that despite her illness, which caused her to become deaf, she attained a distinction in Grade 1 and a merit in Grade 2. She was a strong, thoughtful and funny young woman who will be deeply missed by all of her fellow musicians and staff at Bristol Plays Music and we send our heartfelt condolences to her family.
Tatiana loved Lego and whilst in hospital she was able to play with sets donated to the play team by the wonderful Fairy Bricks charity who’s aim is to brighten the lives of sick children through Lego, being both stimulating and distracting – just what children need in hospital. Tatiana’s family have been raising money for this charity so that other children are able to enjoy playing with Lego just as Tatiana did.
If you would like to donate to Tatiana’s Lego based charity FairyBricks then please donate to the family’s donation page here
