What you need:

Students will need to be able to read music, have manuscript paper, and access to a piano or keyboard.

Preferably notation software, but this is not compulsory.

Part of the Virtual Summer Academy.

In this session students will learn about composing piano music working with a professional composer Richard Barnard, each student will compose a new original piece for piano and share their final piece with other members of the group in a final online concert/presentation.

Group session – tuition on completing & sharing final pieces

Individual composing at home: finish and email compositions

Group session: Final ‘concert presentation’ sharing all 8 compositions (families welcome).
